Privacy notice

Last updated: July 29, 2026

This notice explains what personal data we process, what we use it for and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Identity and address of the controller

Oscar Alberto Sánchez Olvera, tax ID SAOO791121DH8, with address at Venus 59 El Mirador Iztapalapa 09800 CDMX México, is responsible for processing your personal data.

For any matter related to this notice you may write to privacidad@gopetia.com.mx.

2. Personal data we process

Identification and contact: name, email address, phone number and, where applicable, your business name and details.

Service usage: conversations with the assistant, queries made, preferences, language, country and technical logs such as IP address, browser type and access dates.

Billing: we do not store card details. Payment processing is carried out by Paddle, which collects directly the data needed to charge and invoice you.

We do not process sensitive personal data about users.

3. Data about your pets

We process information about your animals: name, species, breed, age, weight, allergies, conditions, medication, vaccinations, deworming, test results, documents and photographs you choose to upload.

We protect this information with the same care as personal data, because it can reveal aspects of your life and finances.

4. Primary purposes

Creating and managing your account, authenticating you and providing support.

Delivering the assistant service: answering your queries, maintaining your pets' records, generating reminders and follow-up alerts.

Processing your subscription, applying your plan limits and handling billing enquiries.

Complying with legal obligations and responding to requests from competent authorities.

5. Secondary purposes

Sending you communications about news, educational content and Go PetiA promotions.

Producing aggregate statistics and analysis to improve the service.

These purposes are not necessary to provide the service. You may object to them at any time by writing to privacidad@gopetia.com.mx, without affecting your access to the service you contracted.

6. Use of artificial intelligence

To generate responses, your queries and the necessary context about your pets are sent to language model providers acting as processors under contract.

We send only what is necessary to answer. We do not use your conversations to train our own models, nor do we authorise our providers to use them to train theirs.

You may request deletion of your conversation history from your dashboard or by writing to us.

7. Transfers and processors

We share data with providers that help us operate: site hosting, email delivery, payment processing, artificial intelligence models and analytics tools. All act on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations.

Some of these providers are located outside México, so your data may be transferred abroad with the safeguards required by applicable law.

We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

When you expressly authorise a business in the directory to access your pet's record, that access is temporary, limited to the scope you define and revocable at any time from your dashboard.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies necessary for the site to work and to keep your session active, as well as measurement cookies to understand service usage.

You may block or delete cookies from your browser settings, bearing in mind that some features may stop working correctly.

9. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active and, afterwards, for as long as necessary to meet legal or tax obligations or to defend against possible claims.

Access and audit logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted automatically.

10. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, rectify it if inaccurate, request its deletion when you consider it is no longer necessary, and object to its use for specific purposes.

To exercise them, send a request to privacidad@gopetia.com.mx stating your name, a means of replying to you, a clear description of the data and the right you wish to exercise, and a document proving your identity.

We will respond within a maximum of twenty working days and, where applicable, give effect to your right within the following fifteen working days.

11. Withdrawing consent

You may withdraw the consent you granted us at any time, using the same channel indicated for exercising your rights.

Please note that in some cases withdrawal will mean we can no longer provide the service.

12. Minors

The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we identify an account belonging to a minor without the authorisation of a parent or guardian, we will close it and delete the information.

13. Security measures

We apply administrative, technical and physical measures to protect your data: encryption in transit, role-based access control, audit logging of access to health records and regular backups.

No system is completely infallible. Should a breach occur that significantly affects your rights, we will notify you without undue delay.

14. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The current version will always be published at gopetia.com with its update date. If the change is substantial, we will inform you by email or within the service.

15. Data protection authority

If you believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you may approach the competent data protection authority in México or in your country of residence.
